An evening with… Dan Biddle

October 23 @ 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
£10.00 – £25.00

Join us for an evening with Dan Biddle as he talks to journalist Phillipa Cherryson about his new memoir Back From the Dead: The Untold Story of the 7/7 Bombings.

“They say cats have nine lives so I’ve been giving them a bit of a run. I’ve died three times on an operating table and had the same number of goes at killing myself. Luckily, the doctors were brilliant at saving my life and I was crap at ending it.”

For years living was a fate worse than death for Dan Biddle. In a moment of someone else’s madness, he lost all meaning to his existence along with both his legs, his left eye, his spleen and all hearing in his left ear. His body and mind were devastated on 7 July 2005, during the worst single terrorist atrocity on British soil. It took ten seconds to disassemble him. It’s taken twenty years for him to find the inner peace and brutal honesty reveal his daily battle to go on surviving. Back From the Dead is his against-the-odds story of triumphs and trauma, his battles with PTSD, and the emotional toll of survival. This memoir goes beyond survival to explore themes of resilience, love, and justice.

About Dan Biddle
Dan Biddle is the most seriously injured survivor of the 7/7 London bombings, having lost both legs, an eye, and endured multiple life-threatening injuries after being just feet away from one of the suicide bombers. Despite a 2% chance of survival, he pulled through after extensive surgeries and a long recovery, including battling PTSD and severe mental health struggles. Now based in Wales, Dan is a motivational speaker and disability rights advocate, campaigning for accessibility, inclusion, and justice for survivors and victims of hate crime. He uses his experience to inspire others and push for meaningful change in public policy and workplace practices.
