I have a question!
What sort of books are in the boxes?
We try to pick an upcoming release that we think will appeal to the broadest possible range of readers.
Do you charge extra for postage and packing?
No – UK postage and packing is included in all subscription box prices.
I live outside the UK – can you send subs boxes to my country?
We’re afraid not – since Brexit the cost and difficulty of shipping abroad has only gone up. We can usually arrange shipping outside the UK for one-off orders, but subscription boxes are only available in the UK.
When will I get my box?
We send out the boxes in the first week of every month. That means you need to order by midday on the last day of the previous month. So if you want your first box to come in August, you need to order by midday on the 31st of July.
Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely! We can make a certificate for you to email or print out and give, too. Please use the Notes box to tell us about this when you subscribe.
Can I request you send or don’t send specific books?
We’re afraid not. The subscription service is one-size-fits-all by its nature.
I already have this book you’ve sent me – can I exchange it?
If you’re able to pop into the shop we can exchange it for another book of similar value. Unfortunately we can’t do exchanges by post as the costs involved would leave us taking a loss. We recommend passing the book on to a fellow reader – consider it a gift you didn’t have to shop for.
