Join us for an evening with author Nicol Hochholczerova and literary translator Emyr Humphreys to explore what can be found or lost in translation. They will be in conversation with Richard Davies from Parthian Books who will be launching the Summer edition of the New Welsh Review Slovakia Blue with a special feature on translated literature.
Nicol Hochholczerova’s first novel This Room is Impossible to Eat is being translated into many languages across Europe after publication in Slovakia. She is on the Welsh leg of her British tour.
Emyr Humphreys has just translated Owain Owain’s Welsh-language classic sci-fi novel from the 1960s – Y Dydd Olaf (The Last Day) – into English for the first time.
