Using a historical perspective to enrich the journey, Wales: A Walk Through Time describes a unique walk through a remarkable country. Illustrated with a fascinating collection of old photographs and contemporary images, the route has been specially chosen to explore the sheer beauty and diversity of Wales. It will eventually reach Anglesey, but in this first of three parts we are treated to the glorious landscapes and proud industrial heritage of South Wales.

It was in 2001 that we first met detective Thursday Next, in Jasper Fforde’s breathtakingly original debut novel, The Eyre Affair.

Introducing us to a world much like ours, except not at all, Fforde breathed life into both his own creation and those of authors long gone --- notably, in that case, Charlotte Brontë and Charles Dickens -- by delving into the BookWorld, where fictional characters meet and mingle throughout their various genres, all filled with one purpose: to be read.

It all gets rather complicated after that.

Books can be dangerous. The best ones should be labelled "This could change your life."
